Bentham Science is aiming to launch over 200 open access journals during 2007 with the first 100 journals being launched by May 2007, under the name "BENTHAM OPEN". The journals will cover all major disciplines of science including engineering, mathematics, chemistry, medicine, Bio-chemical sciences, pharmaceutical sciences, earth sciences and environmental science. Published exclusively online, the journals will be available for free viewing via Bentham Science's website at www.bentham.org/open

BENTHAM OPEN will launch three types of innovative open access journals:
       1. Journals that publish research articles
       2. Journals publishing exclusively review articles
       3. Journals publishing letter or short communication articles.

All articles will be peer-reviewed prior to publication.

The article-processing charges to authors will be one of the lowest offered by the industry and all under US$ 1000 per published article.

BENTHAM OPEN is confident that it will achieve its aims to be the largest publisher of quality open access journals, offering authors attractive article-processing charges.
