Instructions for Authors

JOURNAL SCOPE
Current Gene Therapy (CGT) is a bimonthly interdisciplinary peer-reviewed journal, aimed at academic and industrial scientists with an interest in major topics concerning basic and clinical applications of gene therapy. It provides a forum for reviews on the latest developments on gene transfer and gene expression analysis, animal models, vector development, and human clinical applications for the treatment of diseases. Current Gene Therapy is indexed in Chemical Abstracts, BIOSIS, Index Medicus/MEDLINE, EMBASE, Cambridge Scientific Abstracts (CSA), SCIE, Index of Scientific Reviews, Biotechnology Citation Index, Current Contents/Life Sciences, and ISI.

MANUSCRIPT SUBMISSION

Manuscripts may also be submitted openly to the Editor-in-Chief without prior invitation.

Reviews provide the reader with a comprehensive assessment of any area of experimental biology applied to molecular medicine that is not only of significance within a particular field of gene therapy but also of interest to investigators in other fields. Authors are encouraged to provide their own assessment and vision for future advances. Reviews are also welcome on late breaking discoveries on which substantial literature has not yet been amassed. Such reviews provide a forum for sharply focused topics of recent experimental investigations in gene therapy primarily to make these results accessible to both clinical and basic researchers. They should therefore be a critical but balanced assessment of the field and should not dwell on authors' own published experimental results.

Please submit your manuscript to the CGT Editorial Office at cgt@univ-nantes.fr and provide us with the following:

- A cover letter including the corresponding author's contact information (address, telephone and fax numbers, email), the number of figures and tables and word count.

- An electronic copy of the Manuscript (Word) including figures and tables.

In order to expedite the review process, you may provide us with a list of 5 potential reviewers and their contact information including email.

A successful electronic submission of a manuscript will be followed by a system-generated acknowledgement to the principal/corresponding author within 72 hours of the dispatch of the manuscript. Any queries therein should be addressed to mahmood@bentham.org and copied to Jalil@bentham.org
